This handcrafted hair pin is made from Magnolia wood. It has a clear dark brown grain that contrasts the lustrous white/grey sections with a touch of spalting near the top.

This particular piece was pruned from a beautiful tree in 2019 that still stands happily in a nearby village 2019. It is light in colour with greenish grey steaks in a fine pale grain. It makes for a strong but lightweight Fork.
