Golden Coreopsis Lantern

Sometimes I stay true to nature and recreate a certain flower or plant but recently Ive been diving into the wondrous unknown and exploring what strange and exotic flowers and plants can be discovered when I break free from what is real and follow my instincts.

This delicate little one takes me back nine years ago to Agra. Wondering through the milky dawn with Rainy and Laura ....sleepily gazing into the vibrant flower inlay designs on the walls of the Taj Mahal. Build by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahān to immortalise his wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631; the delicate flower inlays adoring the vast white marble walls were also inspired by the real and unreal.
